Tax Accountant

About the role

Our client, a single‑family office located in Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to support the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual tax return preparation and quarterly estimated tax filings.
• Input 1099s, K‑1s, W‑2s, Axys data and other tax information into GoSystem.
• Calculate tax estimates and prepare estimated tax vouchers.
• Process e‑filings, extensions and estimates, track status in FastTax and resolve rejections.
• Review source documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry.
• Reconcile tax information with financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain organized electronic tax workpapers and client documentation.
• Coordinate with team members to gather missing information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of high‑net‑worth tax experience.
• Broad tax background including corporate and partnership tax.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical ability.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• CPA designation is a plus.
