Tax Accountant – CPA & Enrolled Agent Required

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in person. You will manage complex tax compliance, prepare accurate financial reports, and support strategic growth through comprehensive tax planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).
• Account for RSUs, ESPP, and other equity compensation on individual returns.
• Handle specialized forms such as 2555, 1116, 3520, 114, 8938, and 8949.
• Provide cryptocurrency reporting and recognition.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance across diverse industries.
• Research tax laws to ensure compliance and identify client opportunities.
• Support senior tax professionals with IRS and state tax notices.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of tax accounting experience.
• CPA certification (required).
• Enrolled Agent certification (required).
• In‑person work location.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, double‑entry bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with estate planning, wills, trusts, and related law.
• Understanding of securities law, private equity, asset management, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to perform balance‑sheet and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Familiarity with payroll processing, budgeting techniques, and non‑profit accounting practices.
• Expertise in cryptocurrency tax reporting.
