T-Line Manager – Utility Transmission Projects

About the role

The T‑Line Manager coordinates planning for contractors and craft activities on utility‑scale transmission line projects, ensuring high‑quality installation and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑the‑job oversight of construction contractors to guarantee high‑quality transmission infrastructure installation.
• Review project drawings and submittals, evaluate constructability, and give feedback to engineering.
• Collaborate with Site Manager and owner’s Project Manager on schedule reviews and updates.
• Supervise and perform quality control of the working team.
• Manage interface with interconnection personnel for grid connections.
• Serve as liaison between engineers, contractors, and craft workers to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Attend on‑site and remote project meetings and maintain a positive work environment.
• Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency of contractors’ work.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a lineman.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to work at heights, lift 25‑50 lb, and operate trucks in varied terrain and weather.
• Willingness to travel on a rotational schedule (3 weeks on, 6 days off).

Required skills

• Access establishment, foundations, and structure erection.
• Installation of insulators, hardware, conductor/OPGW pulling, and splices.
• Use of FAA equipment and microwave communication systems.
• End‑to‑end testing procedures and design‑process documentation.
• RFI and NCR handling.
• Basic lean construction, risk management, and quality‑management principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
