Systems Technician II – Enterprise IT Support

About the role

GDIT is seeking a Systems Technician II to join its Enterprise Technology Services team at the Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA. In this role you will provide on‑site technical support, ensuring that end‑users and agency systems run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot information‑system applications and peripheral hardware.
• Respond to and resolve IT tickets promptly, working closely with GDIT staff.
• Monitor hardware and software issues using testing tools and techniques.
• Provide on‑site assistance for remote teams and other technical groups.
• Deliver technical support and training to end‑users.
• Maintain conference‑room AV equipment and related components.
• Participate in special projects, vendor escorting, and on‑call support as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting end‑user computing.
• Strong written and oral communication with excellent customer‑service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (iOS, Android).
• Basic understanding of networking principles.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center is a plus.
