Service Desk Support Analyst – Technical Support

About the role

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Service Desk Support Analyst to provide technical support for the Department of Education’s modernization program. The role is based in Bossier City, Louisiana and focuses on resolving hardware, software, network and application issues for internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues and respond to queries via phone or ticketing system.
• Diagnose, isolate, and analyze problems using historical data.
• Route calls to appropriate product line or system specialists when needed.
• Maintain and update records and tracking databases.
• Alert management to recurring issues and patterns.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of service desk experience.
• US citizenship and residence within ~60 miles of Bossier City.
• Quiet, distraction‑free work environment with dedicated hard‑wired internet (≥10 Mbps down, ≥1 Mbps up).
• Willingness to obtain HDI‑SCA certification within 60 days of hire.
