Systems Engineer (RM&A Assessment)

About the role

CACI is looking for a Systems Engineer to support detection on systems with engineering analysis and an analytical assessment of system readiness at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona. The position is full time, requires a minimum Secret clearance to start, and involves up to 10% travel within the continental United States.

Key responsibilities

• Understand, use and communicate division-level processes and tools such as MRDB and TSP to support Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RM&A) assessments.
• Combine and integrate failure data to assess the readiness of a single system, multiple systems or a system of systems.
• Develop and document reliability models and criteria for scoring system failure events.
• Research Navy systems and use readiness assessment tools, whether Navy-specific or commercial off-the-shelf.
• Learn and use the established data editing process, including data review, extraction and loading.

Required profile

• A relevant degree or equivalent work experience in the U.S. Navy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; active DoD SECRET clearance preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of probability theory applied to reliability, maintainability and availability (RM&A).
• Preferred: knowledge of Navy radars, electronic warfare and combat systems, and of Navy organization, ship classes and shipboard systems.
