Systems Engineer – Linux / Yocto

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer specialized in Linux and Yocto to develop a next‑generation Network Operating System. The role is hands‑on, covering kernel, OS infrastructure and user‑space software on both x86 and ARM platforms, and requires relocation to Puerto Rico with support for eligible candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux kernel, platform and infrastructure software, including debugging complex kernel and user‑space issues.
• Build and maintain Yocto‑based Linux distributions, manage layers, recipes, packages and backports.
• Enable new x86 and ARM hardware platforms, support BSP development and low‑level hardware/software integration.
• Improve system performance, reliability, automation and testing, and collaborate with hardware, platform and software teams.

Required profile

• Strong low‑level systems programming experience with C/C++ and deep understanding of Linux kernel internals.
• Hands‑on experience debugging Linux kernel and user‑space components, and extensive Yocto Project expertise.
• Experience with x86/ARM platforms, BSP development, hardware bring‑up and interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, I2C, GPIO and MDIO.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
