Systems Engineer

About the role

Radiant Industries is developing the world’s first mass‑produced portable nuclear micro‑reactors. The Systems Engineer will define and maintain engineering design standards, requirements, and verification methods that enable safe, high‑volume manufacturing of these reactors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own, and continuously improve design criteria, standards, and requirements for reactor core, structures, fluid systems, electronics, and shielding.
• Provide peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews and confirm acceptance of qualification test campaigns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise designs, shepherd them through design reviews, verification testing, and part release.
• Guide engineers through Radiant’s design process, ensuring compliance with design criteria for manufacturing and test activities.
• Work with responsible engineers across the full design lifecycle to ensure hardware development aligns with established criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or systems engineering.
• Experience working in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with requirements‑management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Flow.
