Systems Engineer (General)

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to help revolutionize electric aviation. The role involves developing and validating aircraft, system, and component requirements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate aircraft, systems, and component requirements.
• Generate system behavior models and conduct validation activities.
• Manage ALM workflows and requirement documentation.
• Coordinate and execute tests with system and test engineering teams.

Required profile

• BS in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years experience on Part 23 or 27 aircraft/rotorcraft programs.
• Familiarity with SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761, and safety analysis methods such as FHA, FTA, and FMEA.

Required skills

• Google G‑Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
• Solid modeling tools (Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA)
• ARP4754A and ARP4761 standards
• Aerospace certification knowledge (FAA Order 8110.4C, RTCA DO‑160G, DO‑331, DO‑178C)
• ALM tools (Polarion, requirement management)
• Reliability analysis tools (Mil‑HDBK‑217, Mil‑HDBK‑21, PTC Windchill, Isograph, Relyence)
• ANSYS, LabVIEW, Python for test automation
