Systems Engineer – Defensive Cyber Solutions

About the role

As a Systems Engineer you will support rapid, agile development of defensive cyber solutions that protect U.S. ground and space assets. You will work within a high‑performing team to design, integrate, and maintain hardware and software systems for mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for defensive cyber operations.
• Manage and monitor installed hardware and software systems.
• Assist with network tap design and system surveys to ensure proper data sampling and transport.
• Evaluate existing systems, lead technical refreshes, and support hardware installation and software deployment at mission sites.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and agile development teams using JIRA, Confluence, and Slack/Mattermost.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in software development, systems engineering, integration or release management.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Slack or Mattermost.
• Strong communication skills with customers, stakeholders, and agile teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ or IAT II certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current or ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
