Tanium Engineer

About the role

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Tanium Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force's Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS). The engineer works within an environment offering enterprise ITSM, service desk operations, endpoint management and security, and CONUS/OCONUS field support, helping transform IT-centric operations into mission-focused ones. The position is full time, requires a Secret clearance and up to 10% travel within the continental United States.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain Tanium platform and endpoint agents.
• Plan, execute and manage upgrades, patching and maintenance, monitoring health, performance and security.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues and optimize the platform for scalability and performance.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures and integrations, and develop policies for security and operational goals.
• Automate tasks and workflows, and develop custom reports, dashboards, sensors and packages.
• Support security incident response by providing endpoint data, aiding containment and automating remediation.
• Implement and manage the rollout of Tanium Provisioning.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience (a Bachelor's degree may substitute for 5 years).
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment with changing requirements.

Required skills

• In-depth proficiency in Tanium, including core and add-on modules (Discover, Patch, Comply, Provision, Threat Response)
• Strong scripting in Python, PowerShell and shell scripting
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux, and of network protocols and security concepts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain policies to stakeholders

Desired: ServiceNow experience, cloud-based UEM implementation, additional certifications such as PMP or Tanium Certified Operator/Administrator, and experience with DOD, DOW or federal agencies. Pay range: $75,200-$158,100.
