Systems Administrator (Security Focus)

About the role

Sparus Holdings is looking for a Systems Administrator with a strong security focus to support and strengthen its enterprise IT infrastructure. The role is based at the Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters and operates in a hybrid environment, combining on‑site work with remote responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN/ZTNA, Wi‑Fi, DNS, SD‑WAN, and remote‑access tools.
• Support on‑premises and Azure server environments, including storage, backup, virtualization, and disaster‑recovery planning and testing.
• Own internal security operations, handling vulnerability management, patching, endpoint protection, email security, and security awareness initiatives.
• Coordinate incident response and work with the managed Security Operations Center for monitoring, escalation, and remediation of security events.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation, standards, procedures, and support records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field preferred.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on systems or network administration, preferably in a hybrid cloud/on‑premises environment.
• Practical experience with firewalls, VPN, remote‑access infrastructure, and server management.
• Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, or endpoint protection.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
