Systems Administrator (Journeyman) with Secret Clearance

About the role

TQI Solutions is seeking a Journeyman‑level Systems Administrator to provide advanced, hands‑on field support across multiple Department of War (DoW) sites. The role ensures reliable network performance, efficient troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical infrastructure while complying with strict security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot secure Layer 2/3 network infrastructure (Cisco, Palo Alto) for classified and unclassified DoW networks.
• Maintain, secure, and optimize Windows and Unix servers, storage, and VMware virtualization environments for PHNSY & IMF.
• Administer, troubleshoot, and repair Windows/Unix servers and VMware infrastructure.
• Execute daily system monitoring, backup/recovery procedures, and enterprise account management.
• Ensure DoW cybersecurity compliance through vulnerability management (e.g., ACAS), patching, and STIG implementation.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Meets Cyber Workforce (CWF) qualifications per DoW Directive 8140.01.
• 3–5 years of journeyman‑level experience with Windows/Unix administration, virtualization, enterprise NAS storage, and security remediation.
• Eligibility for a U.S. government background investigation and ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
