Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Systems Administrator to manage and protect our IT infrastructure. The role blends strategic infrastructure planning with day‑to‑day technical support, ensuring our servers, networks and end‑user devices run securely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network performance, including switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks.
• Implement security controls, patch management, endpoint protection and access management.
• Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning and support business continuity.
• Provide desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral technical support and assist with hardware deployments and software upgrades.
• Document procedures, system configurations and support activities.
• Mentor a junior IT support employee, sharing knowledge and guiding professional development.
• Collaborate with management to identify and roll out technology improvements.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in systems or network administration.
• Strong background with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven ability to manage network infrastructure and enforce security best practices.
• Experience training or mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
