Systems Administrator

About the role

Reliant Credit Union is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and optimise its technology infrastructure. The role combines hands‑on server and network management with strategic planning to support a growing financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor network and server systems in line with regulatory and best‑practice standards.
• Identify, mitigate, and remediate system and network vulnerabilities, collaborating with third‑party security providers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve network and server issues promptly.
• Develop long‑term capacity‑planning strategies for future infrastructure needs.
• Perform regular backups and ensure business‑continuity compliance.
• Document configurations, procedures, and security reports.
• Provide technical guidance to IT staff and support Credit Union employees as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in systems or network administration.
• Advanced certification in networking, system administration, or security (highly desired).
• Hands‑on experience with server and desktop virtualization, anti‑virus, malware, intrusion‑prevention, patch management, data encryption and secure file transmission.
• Strong understanding of network and security principles.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell and Python scripting.
