Systems Administrator

About the role

Submittable is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its IT Operations team. This full‑time hybrid position supports the technology backbone that enables employees to work efficiently from day one, handling everything from endpoint devices to meeting‑room tech.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote day‑to‑day IT support for employees.
• Manage inventory of computers, monitors, peripherals, printers and audio devices.
• Oversee the endpoint lifecycle, including procurement, configuration, maintenance and retirement.
• Triage cybersecurity‑related endpoint issues.
• Handle onboarding tasks such as equipment shipping, device setup and new‑hire orientation.
• Execute off‑boarding duties, including account revocation and equipment return.
• Track and resolve user requests through the Jira ticketing system.
• Support meeting‑room technologies (Zoom, Google Meet hardware, displays, video bars, speakers, microphones).
• Build and deploy operating systems, applications and updates using device‑management tools like Kandji and Microsoft Intune, following best‑practice testing procedures.
• Enforce company IT policies and contribute to IT projects using modern practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of desktop support experience.
• Hands‑on experience managing endpoint devices and their lifecycle.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems, preferably Jira.
• Experience conducting onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot cybersecurity issues on endpoints.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
