Systems Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Healthcare

About the role
The Systems Administrator will manage and protect the organization’s IT environment, ensuring reliable operation of servers, networks, and healthcare applications. Working on‑site in Orange County, NY, you will support both clinical and business systems under the guidance of the IT Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services.
- Manage Microsoft 365 suite – Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
- Maintain Hyper‑V virtualization, monitor performance, apply patches and conduct disaster‑recovery testing.
- Configure firewalls, managed switches, LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, VLANs and maintain network documentation.
- Deploy and support Windows workstations, laptops and endpoint management via NinjaOne RMM.
- Operate SentinelOne and Microsoft Defender for Office 365, respond to alerts and perform vulnerability remediation.
- Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and clinical integration.
- Provide Tier II/III technical support for hardware, software, printing, conferencing and mobile devices.
Required profile
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience administering Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and firewall management.
- Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V) and endpoint protection tools.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, especially HIPAA.
