Systems Administrator – Cloud & Infrastructure

About the role

The Department is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage cloud and on‑premise infrastructure. The role focuses on Azure and AWS environments, as well as Windows and Linux server administration, and requires onsite presence in Tallahassee.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory, including access management for application owners.
• Optimize, maintain, and secure Azure and AWS resources, and analyze usage to recommend improvements.
• Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, handling deployments, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for Azure, Active Directory, and server monitoring automation.
• Create and update technical specifications, standards, procedures, documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Research and propose technical solutions, identifying opportunities for infrastructure process improvements.
• Coordinate with IT staff, data‑center personnel, and business users to plan and execute infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the primary communication point for project teams and perform additional systems administration duties as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong background in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.
• Willingness to work onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
