System Administrator – Hybrid (Austin, TX)

About the role

Sourceability® is seeking a hands‑on System Administrator to join its vibrant IT team in Austin, TX. This hybrid position focuses on day‑to‑day infrastructure operations, ensuring production stability across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux virtual machines.
• Support VMware/vSphere infrastructure, including monitoring, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in virtualization transition projects, including Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Handle network, VPN, firewall, and connectivity tasks in coordination with other teams.
• Execute assigned infrastructure tasks with clear ownership, documented closure, and timely status updates.
• Provide production support, incident response, and operational recovery.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, change records, and SOPs.
• Escalate risks, blockers, or unclear requirements early.

Required profile

• Responsive and organized with a strong sense of operational ownership.
• Comfortable working under defined technical and business priorities.
• Effective communicator who can clearly report status and blockers.
• Team player able to collaborate with DBA, DevOps, Engineering, and Support teams.
