Sustainable Agriculture Program Manager

About the role
The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program seeks a full‑time Program Manager to join its National Reporting, Coordinating, and Communications Office (NRCCO) at the University of Maryland, College Park. The role focuses on creating and delivering print and digital outreach resources that support U.S. farmers, ranchers, and agricultural service providers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop written and digital educational materials on sustainable agriculture topics.
- Assist in promotion planning, press release writing, and identification of outreach channels.
- Support national grant and outreach programs, including digital grant management and website development.
- Coordinate national workshops, program meetings, and continuing‑education initiatives.
- Travel out‑of‑state annually to engage partners and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in sustainable agriculture, natural resource conservation, or a related field.
- Experience producing technical guides, educational resources, or outreach products.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with national partners.
