Surgery Services Representative – Full Time

About the role

The Surgery Services Representative 1 supports pre‑operative preparation and ensures a smooth experience for patients, surgeons, and physicians within the University of Miami Health System. This full‑time, onsite position acts as a key liaison among patients, surgical teams, and administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile operating‑room schedules with official records.
• Review case‑management documentation for compliance with university guidelines.
• Code daily records for accurate charge entry.
• Verify insurance details and obtain missing information as needed.
• Organize patient charge records by date of service.
• Follow university policies to protect assets and ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• At least one year of experience in a similar administrative or clinical support role.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork orientation, and clear written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software and related computer applications.
