Supply Chain Transportation Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Hy-Vee, a retail-focused company, is looking for interns to support its transportation operations as part of its Supply Chain Internship program. The internship runs from approximately May 17 to August 13, 2027, Monday through Friday, at 40 hours per week, and is based in either Chariton, Iowa or Ankeny, Iowa.

Key responsibilities

• Learn daily supply chain processes by working with management and company employees.
• Complete project work such as reviewing large sets of data and proposing changes to improve operations.
• Contribute new ideas, culminating in a final presentation or paper to Hy-Vee leadership.

Required profile

• Working toward, or recently acquired, a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Industrial Engineering, Transportation or a related field.
• Team leadership and teamwork experience, especially outside the classroom.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Relationship-building skills.
