Supply Chain Trainee – Distribution Planning

About the role

As a Supply Chain Trainee you will join CELINE’s Supply Chain team in New York, supporting distribution planning across the store network. You will act as a key partner to merchandising and retail teams, collaborating with logistics and central functions to ensure optimal product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust target stock levels to align with business needs, seasonality and events.
• Oversee distribution to stores for multiple product categories, coordinating with logistics and merchandising.
• Manage overstock by executing pull‑backs and maintaining safety stock in the warehouse.
• Provide timely service to fulfill store product requests, building confidence in the supply chain model.
• Partner with central and local logistics teams to guarantee on‑time deliveries for regular and seasonal orders.
• Improve supply‑chain dashboards to track performance and KPIs.
• Coordinate product distribution for out‑of‑network events and maintain a reverse calendar for back‑of‑house visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of work or internship experience, preferably in retail or distribution; fashion or leather‑goods experience is a plus.
• Availability Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑6 pm.
• Strong relationship‑building abilities and a genuine interest in fashion/retail.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are advantageous.
