Supply Chain & Quality Manager – Cockpit & Avionics (Atlanta or Washington D.C.)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Supply Chain & Quality Manager to oversee Tier‑1 suppliers of cockpit and avionics equipment for its aircraft programs. The role will be based in either Atlanta or Washington D.C. and involves close interaction with suppliers, internal teams in North America and Europe, and frequent on‑site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure maturity and robustness of supplier manufacturing and supply‑chain processes to prevent delivery failures.
• Apply best‑practice quality management techniques to continuously improve delivery performance.
• Assess supplier capacity and capability during ramp‑up, ramp‑down, and major planning changes.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, conduct audits, and manage corrective, improvement, and development actions.
• Identify and mitigate major industrial risks, including design and production transfers.
• Lead recovery or transformation plans when delivery performance degrades.
• Prepare and support regular management reviews with suppliers to track delivery and quality metrics.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to align supply‑chain activities with Airbus objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial, quality, and operations management within aerospace or a related high‑tech sector.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
