Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams, resolve issues with supplied components, mentor supplier engineers and collaborate closely with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for CX300 and A250 structures teams and related commodities.
• Track receiving inspection problems and collaborate with suppliers on root‑cause corrective actions.
• Lead problem resolution between internal teams and suppliers, review KPI supplier rating system and develop action plans.
• Assist with supplier audits, review and approve Supplier First Article Inspection reports, and develop supplier development plans based on non‑conformance trends.
• Issue supplier corrective action requests, analyze repeat issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Four‑year engineering degree or related field.
• 3‑5 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment certified to ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Statistical methods and data analysis.
• Experience with an online ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• ASQ certification (preferred) and Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (preferred).
• Root‑cause corrective action investigations, first‑article inspections and FAA conformity inspections.
• Knowledge of electronic assemblies, wire harnesses and PCBAs (preferred).
