About the role

The University of Miami Health System is opening the UHealth SoLé Mia campus in September 2025. We are seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access to lead the front‑end revenue cycle and clinic support operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for patient accounts.
• Orient, train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff, using positive reinforcement.
• Ensure staff compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Anticipate patient volume, monitor flow, and adjust staffing to meet daily demand.
• Communicate patient flow issues to managing staff and recommend process improvements.
• Explain consent for treatment, financial liability, and HIPAA regulations to patients.
• Collect outstanding patient balances, run end‑of‑day reports, and manage fund deposits.

Required profile

• Experience supervising registration or patient access teams in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle and front‑end clinical operations.
• Ability to train, evaluate, and motivate staff while maintaining compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
