Supervisor I – Production Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Supervisor I – Production Management to lead a manufacturing team that delivers innovative eye‑care products worldwide. In this position you will ensure efficient task completion, maintain high quality standards, and support continuous improvement across the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes.
• Manage production activities such as assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging to meet specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste, and quality targets.
• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor and capital resources.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Lead or participate in quality investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe work environment and develop pipeline talent.
• Conduct performance management, talent development, associate engagement, and safety culture activities.
• Make day‑to‑day operational decisions affecting team efficiency.
• Enforce GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and completing required training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 10 years, associate + 16 years, etc.).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GxP regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation.
