Superintendent - Luxury Custom Homes

About the role

A premier luxury custom home builder with more than 25 years of experience and over 6,000 homes built is hiring an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction of luxury custom homes in the West Palm Beach area. The role leads daily field operations from site preparation through final completion, coordinating subcontractors and vendors and working closely with project managers, homeowners, architects and interior designers. Candidates must live within about one hour of West Palm Beach.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily jobsite activities so construction follows project plans, specifications and schedules
• Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, architectural details, custom millwork, premium materials and finishes
• Direct subcontractors, vendors and suppliers to complete work safely and efficiently
• Manage construction schedules, monitor milestones and anticipate delays
• Interpret architectural drawings and construction documents, spotting discrepancies early
• Coordinate with homeowners, architects, interior designers and trade partners
• Keep jobsites organized and compliant with building codes, permits and safety standards
• Solve field problems, coordinate corrective actions and minimize rework
• Maintain daily reports, track progress and escalate issues
• Manage inspections, punch lists, final detailing and homeowner handover

Required profile

• 5+ years as a Superintendent in residential construction, preferably with a luxury custom home builder
• Demonstrated experience managing high-end custom homes from groundbreaking to completion
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, building codes and premium finishes
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage subcontractors
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with homeowners and design professionals in a high-expectation environment
• Must reside within approximately one hour of West Palm Beach, Florida
