Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Site Superintendent to lead heavy civil projects focused on underground utilities and earthwork. The role involves planning, coordinating crews, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of mass grading, excavation, trenching, and pipe installation.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate project information promptly and accurately to all stakeholders.
• Develop and execute detailed plans for earthwork and pipe installation, including three‑week look‑ahead schedules.
• Oversee mass grading, excavation, trenching, backfill, compaction, and underground utility installation.
• Review timesheets, maintain daily activity reports, and ensure labor and equipment align with budget and schedule.
• Maintain safety standards, report incidents, and protect company and rental equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience with underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage.
• U.S. citizenship, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Required skills

• Underground utilities installation and sequencing.
• Earthwork, grading, and trench safety.
• Interpretation of civil construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Three‑week look‑ahead scheduling and crew planning.
