Summer Intern - Radio & Media

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a seasonal summer intern in Latham, NY. The intern rotates through various radio functions or focuses on one specific area such as sales, programming or events, and learns the job processes and requirements of the assigned function.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through various radio functions or focus on one specific area, e.g. sales, programming, events
• Conduct research and analysis
• Assist in general office tasks
• Prepare and deliver reports as required
• Serve as an apprentice in the assigned function
• May work with other interns on projects
• Help develop and broaden interest in iHeartMedia

Required profile

• Rising junior or senior full-time undergraduate at a four-year college, minimum 3.2 GPA
• College transcript and a letter from the school confirming credit for the internship
• Work experience in the media field is a plus; career interest in the media industry is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken communication, planning and organization, innovation and creativity
• Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities and collaborate professionally

Required skills

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest
• Ability to proofread and edit
