Summer 2027 Communications & Engagement Internship

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is recruiting for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This 12‑week, hybrid internship in the Communications & Engagement division offers hands‑on experience supporting events, media relations, social media, storytelling and AI‑enabled content work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning and executing events with external stakeholders.
• Participate in external engagement efforts to develop and strengthen relationships across the district.
• Support news media relations, including updating media lists, researching targets, maintaining databases and identifying new contacts.
• Contribute to social‑media strategy by proposing content ideas, developing posts, monitoring engagement and suggesting optimizations.
• Generate fresh storytelling ideas, develop content and enhance STL Fed brand visibility, including the Economy Museum.
• Leverage AI tools to support content creation, measurement and media‑relations activities.

Required profile

• Must be a college graduate expected in May 2027.
• Must submit a resume and a cover letter describing relevant interests and experience.
• Demonstrated interest in communications, media relations, or stakeholder engagement.
