About the role
The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond seeks highly motivated students in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields to assist research economists with policy‑oriented and academic research during the summer of 2027. Interns will work alongside a Research Associate, conduct literature reviews, and write code to analyze time‑series and panel data.
Key responsibilities
- Perform literature reviews on academic articles relevant to ongoing research projects.
- Write and run computer code to analyze time‑series and panel datasets.
- Present findings or a summary of the studied article at the end of the internship.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a degree program in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Available to work onsite in Richmond for the full summer period.
