About the role

The Student Support Specialist provides front‑line assistance to current University of Arkansas System employees and students seeking employment through Workday. The role involves guiding users through the job‑search and application process, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist employees, student employees, graduate assistants, and prospective student applicants in navigating Workday via MyApps.Microsoft.com.
• Provide guidance on searching for “Find Jobs for Students,” “Find Student Jobs at UAF,” and related job listings.
• Help users troubleshoot login issues, draft applications, and submission processes.
• Respond to inquiries about application status, deadlines, and posting details.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and forward complex issues to HR or IT as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the student employment portal experience.

Required profile

• Current enrollment at University of Arkansas or affiliated institution.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work day shift and handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedural guidelines.
• Familiarity with university employment policies is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Workday HR platform.
• Basic navigation of Microsoft MyApps portal.
