About the role

Join the Human Resources department at Texas A&M International University as a Student HR Assistant. This work‑study position supports daily HR operations while providing valuable on‑campus experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to routine office inquiries from employees and students.
• Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance and administrative tasks of the HR department.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing documents.
• Complete other related duties as assigned by the HR team.

Required profile

• Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credits undergraduate, 3 credits graduate).
• Maintain a GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
• Current, complete financial‑aid file and demonstrated financial need via FAFSA.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non‑citizen.
• Meet Texas A&M International University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.
• Available for on‑campus, face‑to‑face work, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a personal computer workstation and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
