Structured Finance Associate – Corporate & Investment Banking

About the role

Santander is seeking a Structured Finance Associate to join its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) team. The role focuses on originating, advising, and structuring financing for large‑scale, long‑term projects across energy, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and real estate sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare marketing materials, proposals, and client presentations.
• Structure transactions, conduct research and analysis of existing or potential deals and industries.
• Negotiate mandates, review legal documents, and assess various risks.
• Develop credit applications and cash‑flow models for project financing.
• Participate in transaction due diligence and strategic planning for the Digital Infrastructure business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, including 1‑3+ years in commercial banking or finance with strong credit analysis.
• Experience in analyzing and structuring complex, project‑oriented financings, especially in energy or infrastructure.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, manage logistics, and travel as required.
