Structure Welder – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Structure Welder works on the 2nd shift to lay out, fit, tack and weld steel components and assemblies according to blueprint specifications. Using MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment, you will ensure structural integrity, dimensional accuracy and a clean finish for critical products.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and execute welding procedures using MIG, TIG, stick welders, grinders, plasma cutters and drill presses.
• Assemble and weld parts with clamps, bolts and tack welds, planning layouts for structural integrity and safety.
• Inspect welds, correct defects and verify dimensions with measuring instruments.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and complete preventive checklists.
• Support material handling, loading/unloading and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Assist team leaders, train coworkers and cross‑train across departments.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with at least 1 year of MIG or TIG welding experience.
• Manufacturing experience; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally, stand or walk 80 % of the shift, and work in noisy, non‑climate‑controlled environments.
• Pass a Pulmonary Function Test if a PAPR is required.
