Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads sourcing initiatives across key operational spend categories, focusing on supplier strategy, contract management, and cost optimization. This cross‑functional position works closely with operations, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure reliable, cost‑effective fleet and equipment procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for categories such as tires, fuel, parts, filters, lubricants, and MRO supplies.
• Run end‑to‑end RFP processes, from requirement scoping to supplier selection.
• Negotiate contracts with clear cost‑reduction and service‑level targets and monitor performance.
• Analyze spend data to identify consolidation opportunities and reduce supplier fragmentation.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and drive improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.
• Manage vehicle acquisition sourcing, collaborating with OEMs, dealers, and upfitters.
• Evaluate total cost of ownership to guide purchasing and replacement decisions.
• Build dashboards and reports to track supplier performance, cost drivers, and savings.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and finance to align sourcing decisions with business needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in fleet or industrial environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate spend data into actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation and contract‑management skills.
• Effective stakeholder management across multiple functions.
