Strategic Marketing Manager – Battery Separator Business

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Marketing Manager to lead the strategic marketing process for Celgard’s polyolefin microporous membrane products used in lithium‑ion battery separators and specialty membranes. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing, you will drive projects that support sustainable sales revenue and margin growth across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and scope strategic marketing projects targeting growth areas such as lithium‑ion and next‑generation battery separators, textiles, filtration, packaging, medical devices, and specialty batteries.
• Identify market opportunities, conduct market research and analysis, and build business cases for new business models.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service, R&D and other functions to develop VOC plans and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Develop product positioning, roadmaps, and launch plans, including communication, branding and IP considerations.
• Manage sample request processes and serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of North American commercial accounts.
• Support Stage‑Gate progress from concept through commercialization, applying hypothesis‑based learning to assess risk and reward.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic marketing or product management within the battery, materials or related high‑technology sectors.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct market research, opportunity assessment and business case development.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across cross‑functional teams.
• Customer‑focused mindset with experience managing key accounts and sample processes.
