Strategic Finance & Corporate Development Lead

About the role

Laurel is seeking its first Strategic Finance & Corporate Development Lead to work directly with the CFO and executive team. This senior finance professional will influence major company decisions, from fundraising to acquisitions, while building scalable financial infrastructure for a fast‑growing AI time‑management platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance financial models, forecasting, and annual planning processes.
• Prepare board decks, investor updates, and executive reporting materials.
• Support fundraising efforts and manage investor communications.
• Lead evaluation and execution of M&A, partnerships, and corporate development initiatives.
• Drive cross‑functional headcount planning and resource allocation.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success on strategic planning.
• Assess market opportunities, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
• Develop scalable KPI frameworks, operating metrics, and reporting systems.
• Perform financial, competitive, and market analyses to inform long‑term strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic finance, corporate development, or related senior finance roles.
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of influencing executive decisions.
