Store Trainer

About the role

The Store Trainer is responsible for delivering high‑impact onboarding and ongoing training for new team members across the store. This role ensures that every new hire quickly connects with Whole Foods Market’s purpose, culture, and operational standards while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct New Member training during the first four shifts, including the Welcome Tour, Culture Connections, and Career Connections.
• Complete Section 2 of Form I‑9 on the hire date and communicate training priorities.
• Maintain accurate training records in Whole Foods’ learning systems and report progress to leadership.
• Achieve at least 95% on‑time completion of New Member Connections, Operational Learning Pathways, and compliance training.
• Support career development programs, publicize leadership opportunities, and track enrollment.
• Model and enforce food safety, sanitation, and occupational safety procedures.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching for customer service, product knowledge, and sales tactics.
• Lead Team Trainer meetings, guide new Team Trainers through certification, and provide temporary coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate training across multiple teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Store Leadership, Team Leadership, and HR partners.
• Flexibility to cross‑train in all store departments and act as a floater during peak periods.
• Commitment to upholding Whole Foods Market’s standards for safety, quality, and customer service.
