Store Manager

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for a Store Manager in Savannah to lead its store at Oglethorpe Mall. The manager sets the store's direction by hitting sales targets, recruiting, developing people and managing performance, while delivering great customer service and building a strong team.

Key responsibilities

• Make sure the store meets its sales plan and comparable sales goals
• Recruit, develop and retain a collaborative team, mentoring staff through recognition and feedback
• Engage customers through social media, store web applications and clienteling
• Run an efficient operation with clear structure, delegation and autonomy, and customer-first selling
• Watch shrink and loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules and other factors affecting the business
• Work with retail leadership and HQ on trends and customer feedback, and run sales reports to guide strategy
• Control supply ownership and spend, and adapt to new technologies
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos on time

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is an advantage
• Open-minded and curious about pop culture fandoms and music trends
• Able to move around the store, merchandise products with approved equipment and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds

• Ability to roll with change in a fast-changing retail environment
