Staff Sustaining Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Sustaining Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) from mass‑production to the customer’s hands. In this high‑impact position you will blend deep automotive electronics expertise with modern big‑data tools to detect, model and predict failures before they reach the field.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute vehicle, component, module and system reliability tests (mass‑production, manufacturing validation, HASS, Burn‑In).
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, design and process engineering to translate DFMEA risks into PFMEA controls and updated control plans.
• Assess manufacturing changes, develop validation test plans, and lead escalation and root‑cause analysis for failures.
• Build and maintain automated Databricks pipelines to ingest ECU fault signals and telemetry (temperature, memory usage) into analysis‑ready datasets.
• Develop real‑time reliability models to surface fleet risk exposure, predict ECU failures and track trends across vehicle populations.
• Create stakeholder dashboards that combine model outputs, Jira tickets and test results for rapid decision support.
• Partner with AI integration platforms (e.g., Google Agent, Cursor) to accelerate fault diagnosis and empirical reliability requirement definition.
• Maintain closed‑loop feedback between field reliability data and New Product Introduction teams.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in automotive electronics or embedded systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or a related field.
