Staff Project Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Staff Project Engineer to lead large‑scope, high‑impact projects at its Niagara Falls, NY site. You will work on new production introductions, internal R&D, and high‑volume production programs, ensuring technical excellence and business success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional and cross‑site project teams or integrated project teams (IPTs) through complex programs.
• Manage new production introduction (NPI), internal research and development (IRAD), and high‑volume production projects with significant non‑recurring engineering effort.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve project engineering processes and functional excellence.
• Interface with customers, gather data, assess risks, and drive data‑based decisions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• At least 12 years of progressive experience, including 5+ years leading development projects of comparable scope.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven leadership ability.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance and access export‑controlled information.
• Willingness to complete a full physical examination.
