Staff Product Designer

About the role

Render is building a modern cloud platform for AI‑native, full‑stack applications. As a Staff Product Designer you will shape the developer‑first experience, turning complex multi‑service systems into clear, cohesive interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑service system views that make dependencies and connections legible at a glance.
• Create system‑level observability dashboards that aggregate logs, metrics, deployments and events.
• Define cross‑service deployment and rollback flows, including preview experiences for safe shipping.
• Own error, failure and empty states, turning unglamorous moments into helpful experiences.
• Craft a first‑run experience that builds trust within the first minutes of use.
• Contribute concept explorations and design‑led discovery to shape the platform’s future.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience designing complex, high‑stakes products, preferably developer tools or cloud infrastructure.
• Exceptional visual craft with obsessive attention to typography, spacing, motion and interaction feedback.
• Strong information architecture skills to turn tangled relationships into intuitive systems.
• Fluent in developer terminology (services, CI/CD, deployments) and a respect for designing failure states.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product and engineering partners, communicating clearly and directly.

Required skills

• Design of complex dashboards, monitoring tools or console interfaces.
• Experience with design systems and extending them at scale.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud service architectures.
