Staff Product Designer – Agent Experience

About the role

Render is seeking a Staff Product Designer to own the end‑to‑end Agent Experience (AX). You will shape the programmatic surface and human‑agent handoff across CLI, API, SDKs, Blueprints, Skills and web UI, ensuring a seamless, trustworthy loop for agents and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design a coherent interaction model across all agent‑operable interfaces (CLI, API, MCP, SDKs, Blueprints, Skills) and define consistent error language.
• Create agent‑focused documentation that serves as a first‑class product experience.
• Develop a configuration‑first onboarding path that eliminates UI bottlenecks for agents.
• Design dashboard surfaces that surface agent activity, enabling humans to review, supervise and trust agent actions.
• Define agent authentication, consent, scoping and token management to provide least‑privilege access.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product design experience, preferably with developer tools, infrastructure or API‑centric products.
• Demonstrated ability to own a major product area end‑to‑end and set direction for others.
• Obsessive attention to detail across both GUI and non‑GUI surfaces.

Required skills

• Expertise in designing CLI commands, API ergonomics and SDK interfaces.
• Strong portfolio showing web UI design combined with text‑first thinking (error messages, documentation, conversational flows).
