Staff / Principal Product Designer – Design Systems

About the role
Rho is building the best business banking platform and needs a senior designer to own and evolve its design system – the governed, code‑based foundation that powers every product experience.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the frontend design system, including architecture, tokens, primitives, motion language, and governance.
- Partner with engineers, the frontend guild, and the design team as equals to decide component behavior, states, and standards.
- Set the craft bar for the organization and build processes that make high‑quality delivery the path of least resistance.
Required profile
- At least 7 years of product design experience with full ownership of a design system at scale.
- Deep expertise in designing in code, strong visual taste, and a passion for motion, micro‑interactions, and typography.
- Ability to ship quickly, work transparently, and iterate based on feedback.
Required skills
- Figma
- Frontend development concepts (components in code, CI, linting)
- Design system governance and contribution models
