Director of Product Design

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead a high‑performing team building critical product experiences. You will own product vision, collaborate closely with customers, and help shape design in an AI‑native world while working onsite at the NYC headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product designers, setting vision and ensuring high‑quality output.
• Own product vision and design direction across critical product areas.
• Partner with product and engineering to shape strategy and deliver customer impact.
• Stay close to customers, using feedback to guide decisions and ship meaningful work.
• Jump into design work when needed to unblock teams and accelerate progress.
• Coach designers through clear feedback, high standards, and mentorship.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing product design teams.
• Strong product judgment, design craft, and systems thinking.
• Track record of shipping products with measurable customer and business impact.
• Deep customer empathy and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to influence across functions and develop exceptional talent.
