Staff Physician Fellow – Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine

About the role

The Staff Physician Fellow joins an organized post‑residency training program at the University of Miami, providing direct patient care in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine under faculty supervision. The fellowship lasts up to three years and combines clinical duties with scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in educational seminars, examinations, and scholarly activities required by the program.
• Perform consultations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of patients in the designated specialties.
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care while documenting medical records promptly.
• Utilize clinical guidelines and scientific evidence to inform patient management.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and error reduction initiatives.
• Maintain a professional work environment and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Eligibility for required medical certifications and licensing.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
