Staff Pharmacist - Sign On, Relocation Available

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for its Richmond, Indiana store. As pharmacist you ensure that patients receive the medication and care they need, practicing in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including consultations and immunizations. You will also mentor and train pharmacy technicians. The position requires a license to practice pharmacy in Indiana.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians and hold them accountable for results.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and customer service.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, run pharmacy operations.
• Apply Meijer policies and procedures and state and federal laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Indiana.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except in Indiana).
• Retail or community practice experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and of regulations in the state.
