Staff Fellow – Medicine, Cardiovascular Advanced Imaging

About the role

The University of Miami (UHealth) offers a one‑year, non‑ACGME Staff Fellowship in Cardiovascular Advanced Imaging. This fellowship provides physicians with intensive, hands‑on training in cutting‑edge cardiac imaging modalities to support diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular disease.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily clinical practice, interpreting cardiac CT, MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear imaging.
• Develop expertise in advanced techniques such as myocardial perfusion imaging, coronary artery imaging, cardiac function evaluation, and tissue characterization.
• Engage in clinical and translational research projects, collaborate with faculty, and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications.
• Work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other specialists to create integrated treatment plans.
• Attend didactic sessions, case discussions, departmental conferences, and present findings at local or national meetings.
• Assist in quality‑assurance processes and protocol development to ensure accurate imaging results.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, or a related specialty.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
• Prior experience in cardiovascular imaging is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
